Some old songs (such as Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow) and songs written after February 24, 2022, have become symbols of a new resistance for Ukrainians. When such songs were played in the occupied cities, people immediately knew that they were about Ukraine, about our country.
KapustaBand is not just a children's choir that sings Ukrainian songs but a consolation for children forced to stay in Poland. It is also a way for young musicians to spread Ukrainian songs across Europe, just as the Ukrainian Republic Capella once spread Shchedryk by Leontovych.
